Environmental Engineer (Water Systems Specialist)

ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER (WATER SYSTEMS SPECIALIST)

• STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) Management
• Monitor daily STP operations (aeration, filtration, sludge handling)
• Analyze effluent results (BOD, COD, TSS, pH, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) standards
• Troubleshoot issues and recommend corrective actions
• Desalination System Oversight
• Supervise operation of desalination units (RO systems)
• Monitor salinity, TDS, conductivity, and system performance
• Ensure proper maintenance of membranes, pumps, and dosing systems
• Improve system efficiency and reduce operational cost
• Drainage & Water System Testing
• Conduct inspection and testing of main drainage lines
• Evaluate flow performance and blockage issues
• Interpret laboratory results and recommend improvements
• Ensure proper wastewater discharge and flood prevention
• Water Quality Monitoring & Reporting
• Perform regular sampling and laboratory coordination
• Prepare technical reports and compliance documents
• Maintain records for audits and inspections
• System Improvement & Optimization
• Identify inefficiencies in STP, desalination, and drainage systems
• Propose upgrades, retrofits, or process improvements
• Implement preventive maintenance programs
• Compliance & Safety
• Ensure compliance with Philippine Clean Water Act (RA 9275)
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies for permits and inspections
• Enforce safety and environmental procedures onsite

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, or related field
• Licensed Engineer (preferred but not always required)
• At least 2–5 years experience in:
• STP operations
• Desalination systems (RO)
• Water quality analysis
