What you'll do
As a Tax Analyst, you will be exposed to a key role in ensuring Capitol Steel's compliance with local and national government tax regulations while supporting initiatives toward digitalization and process improvements. This role is designed to evolve into a more strategic tax accountant position, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and system-driven processes.
- Review and monitor tax compliance requirements, ensuring timely filing of Tax returns.
- Handle tax monitoring tool, trackers, and workflows using digital solutions.
- Ensure compliance with BIR invoicing requirements and other regulatory standards.
- Handle and organize audit-related documents, ensuring completeness and easy retrieval through a structured and digital filing system.
- Respond to annual financial statement audits and BIR audits, addressing audit requests by providing accurate and well-documented schedules from CAS.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and audit ready records aligned with digital processes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, preferably CPA
- CPA licence is preferred but not required for this position
- At least two (2) years of experience in an equivalent role.
- Strong understanding of relevant tax laws and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
