JOB SUMMARY
- The Human Resource Assistant is responsible in providing first-class support and administration service to the Human Resource Department and all COMPASS employees while assisting with the implementation of HR policies and procedures. The Human Resource Assistant carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: recruitment and hiring, compensation and benefits administration, employee discipline and relations, employee onboarding and exit, training and development, performance management, records management and communications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or any four-year business course
- With at least one (1) year of work experience in Human Resources
- High level of interpersonal skills and professionalism to handle sensitive and confidential situations and detailed documentation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
- Knowledge in basic functioning of a corporate office
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations and company policies and procedures
- Prepare paperwork and schedules for smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources database and audits for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
- Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including weekly and semimonthly updates to employee files, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, mandatory and statutory benefits administration and benefits changes.
- Assist the HR Manager in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.
