Job description:

Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s supplier base to ensure compliance, reliability, and continuous improvement in quality, cost, and service. The role focuses on supplier accreditation, evaluation, performance monitoring, and relationship management to support procurement objectives and organizational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Supplier Accreditation & Qualification
  • Collect, review, verify supplier documents to ensure legitimacy, compliance, and alignment with company standards.
  • Facilitate supplier accreditation and maintain updated supplier profiles and records.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessment prior to enlistment.
  1. Supplier Performance Evaluation
  • Develop and implement periodic supplier evaluation criteria covering quality, delivery, price competitiveness, communication and responsiveness, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and assess supplier performance.
  • Recommend corrective actions, improvement plans, or disqualification for underperforming suppliers.
  1. Supplier Database & Documentation
  • Maintain an accurate and updated Approved Supplier List (ASL) in SAP B1.
  • Ensure confidentiality and secure management of supplier records and business information.
  • Track supplier status (active/inactive) and ensure timely renewal of expired documents.
  1. Assist in the DCF procurement process from canvassing to delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in procurement or supplier management.
  • Knowledge of supplier accreditation, compliance verification, and performance evaluation processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP Business One) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage multiple suppliers simultaneously.
