Application Support Specialist (Permanent WFH)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transaction Oversight

• Monitor unsuccessful transactions from terminal devices across various parking locations
• Identify patterns and document recurring technical problems

1. Vendor Management

• Coordinate with vendors to diagnose and fix onsite equipment issues
• Arrange and track maintenance or repair work for devices

1. Bank Interaction

• Handle communications with banks regarding payment discrepancies
• Provide reports of outstanding transactions for resolution

1. Remote Terminal Supervision

• Oversee and control devices from a remote location
• Conduct software updates and troubleshoot remotely when needed

1. Reporting and Recordkeeping

• Keep detailed records of system issues, resolutions, and device performance
• Prepare audit and variance reports related to transaction activity

1. Virtual Onsite Assistance

• Offer remote guidance to onsite personnel for device operation or troubleshooting
• Assist with remote setup and configuration of equipment

1. Process Optimization

• Suggest improvements to system procedures and workflows
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry practices

Nice to Have:

• Proficiency in .NET (C#) for developing Windows Forms
• Able to connect MySQL and MS SQL Server databases; perform CRUD operations
• Experience in displaying database query results within the application interface
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries (SELECT, JOIN, UPDATE, DELETE)
• Experience with creating tables, indexes, and basic procedures in MySQL and MS SQL server
• Good understanding of PHP
• Ability to write simple PHP scripts for basic data processing or file operations
• Proficiency in writing PowerShell scripts or Windows batch files (for file management, system checks, automation, basic network operations such as FTP/SFTP uploads/downloads)

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in technical application support or IT applications helpdesk
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Familiarity with terminal systems and/or banking/payment processes
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Comfortable working with remote access tools and basic networking
