We are looking for a Tax Accountant

Role Purpose:

To provide accurate, timely, and compliant tax accounting services, including preparation and lodgment of BAS, IAS, and tax returns. The role ensures all tax obligations are met and supports both internal and external stakeholders in making sound financial and tax-related decisions.

Experience and Qualifications (Desirable):

  • Experience working with an Australian entity
  • CPA, CA, or other relevant accounting qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years in a tax accounting or similar role
  • Strong understanding of Australian tax regulations, including GST, PAYG, and Super
  • Knowledge of BAS, IAS, and payroll tax obligations
  • Proficient in accounting software and Office 365
  • Able to work Australian hours

  • BAS, IAS, and financial reporting
  • Superannuation and payroll compliance

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Preparation and lodgment of BAS and IAS
  • Assist with year-end tax return preparation
  • Maintain compliance with ATO tax deadlines and obligations
  • Provide tax planning support and advice
  • Reconcile tax-related accounts and documentation
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors
  • Support payroll and super processing as needed
  • Journal entries and account adjustments
  • Email communication with clients and stakeholders

Other Requirements:

  • Familiar with accounting platforms (Xero, MYOB, or similar)
  • Proficient in Office 365
  • Comfortable with email (80%) and WhatsApp communications
