Cold Calling Virtual Assistant

Job Summary: We are looking for a confident and results-driven Appointment Setter & Lead Generation Specialist to support a growing mortgage business. In this role, you will work through provided lead lists, cold call potential borrowers to identify refinance and loan opportunities, and book qualified appointments for the loan originator.
You will also conduct outreach to real estate agents to build a steady and reliable referral pipeline. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable on the phone, knows how to qualify prospects effectively, and can speak confidently about mortgage products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Call potential borrowers from provided lead lists to identify opportunities for refinances, equity loans, cash-out options, and other mortgage products
- Qualify borrowers based on their individual needs and financial situation before scheduling appointments
- Set and confirm qualified appointments for the loan originator to close
- Conduct outreach to real estate agents to initiate discovery conversations and build a consistent referral pipeline
- Follow the provided compliance script accurately, including required recording-consent disclosures
- Log all calls, outcomes, and confirmed appointments accurately within the CRM (HubSpot)
- Track lead status and keep all records organized and consistently up to date
- Maintain professional and reliable communication with all contacts throughout the outreach process
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven experience in cold calling and appointment setting
- Hands-on experience using VOIP-based dialing systems
- Comfortable following a compliance script including call recording consent disclosures
- Demonstrated ability to qualify leads and book appointments effectively
- Experience working within a CRM to log calls and track activity — HubSpot experience is a plus
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience cold calling within the mortgage or financial services industry
- Familiarity with refinance scenarios and mortgage product types
- Specific experience with HubSpot CRM
- Previous experience conducting outreach to real estate agents or B2B referral partners
- Ability to manage two distinct outreach workflows simultaneously on a daily basis
