You’ll start by managing core accounting functions—handling day-to-day bookkeeping, performing reconciliations, and managing accounts payable/receivable—while ensuring every financial record is precise and compliant.

Qualifications/Requirements
Key Responsibilities- Core Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Execute day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks with exceptional accuracy for our diverse clients.
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and collections.
- Conduct routine bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for and properly posted.
- Record financial data promptly and accurately across multiple accounting platforms.
- Financial Reporting & Closing
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare standard financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) and create ad hoc reports as requested by clients or internal teams.
- Analyze financial data to provide clear updates and answer queries from clients and management.
- Client & System Management
- Serve as a reliable accounting contact for clients, communicating proactively and professionally to clarify financial information.
- Maintain pristine and organized financial records within various accounting platforms like QuickBooks, Xero, and SAP.
- Utilize cloud-based tools to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Compliance & Data Integrity
- Uphold strict compliance with relevant accounting standards and individual client policies.
- Guarantee the confidentiality and security of all sensitive financial information at all times.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data through regular reviews and validation.
- 2–3+ years of proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, with a strong portfolio of managing financial records.
- Hands-on proficiency with major accounting platforms such as QuickBooks and Xero is essential. Experience with SAP, NetSuite, FreshBooks, or Zoho Books is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain high accuracy under deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), capable of explaining financial concepts clearly to clients.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial data.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high performance in a fully remote environment, aligned with US time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
