Brief Summary of Role

Responsible in actively managing and maintaining the inventory control of spare parts warehouses and continually conduct analysis of spare parts KPI to achieve the desired optimum inventory cost. In addition, actively participates in the resource preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operations
  • To ensure that correct and sufficient stock levels of spare parts are maintain to avoid unnecessary stock-outs
  • To effect issues in a timely manner whilst ensuring effective and efficient materials control
  • To verify inventory records and parts movement from time to time and conduct analysis to established the minimum and maximum parts requirement
  • To ensure that the spare parts master data are complete and up to date
  • To compile and issue stores documentation and reports (stock availability, stock-outs, inventory movement & etc.) so relevant stake holders can assist in the effective management and control of inventory
  • To organize and document disposal of waste and obsolete materials so that sufficient storage space is available
  • To perform recounts for count verification and assist in investigation for stock discrepancies
  • To ensure all transactions are accurately captured on the system
  • To ensure materials are delivered according to Company Specifications
  • To ensure materials for return are suitably quarantined to ensure they do not inadvertently enter the process
  1. Maintenance Execution
  • To ensure correct quality and quantities of spare parts are kitted & issued to customer requirements on the right time
  • To verify the return of unuse or excess materials to stock, by ensuring the materials are safely protected and are still in the original condition
  • To assist in the continuous improvement of work order task list
  • To ensure the stores layout is properly maintained in line with good housekeeping practices GMP & 5S
  • To ensure that materials are stored and protected from sources of contamination
  • To ensure materials are correctly labelled according to prescribed standards
  • To ensure materials are controlled according to works instructions
  • Enforced and maintained safe and secure working environment
  1. Others
  • Implement Continuous improvement projects on equipment and maintenance system
  • Participate, Develop and execute actions that contributes and ensures the fulfilment of the norms ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001, ISO 22000:2005 and the norms that applied for the system improvements
  • Flexibility in job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned, including redeployment to other department/areas if required, in order to meet business demands and guest service needs
Position Requirements:
•• At least 2 Years of Work Experience in Spare Parts Inventory Management in an Industrial Set-up Preferably Food Manufacturing Industry or FMCG
  • Graduate of Any Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering or any related Technology & Engineering field
  • CMMS Experience on Material Management Module Preferably SAP
  • Essential Proficiency and Experience on Spare Parts Management
  • High Level Analytical, Communication and Presentation Skills
  • With Understanding in RCA – BDA Process
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic knowledge on Project Management
  • With experienced in handling improvement projects
  • Advantage but not required if Registered Master Electrician/Electronics Technician/Electronics Engineer/Electrical Engineer/Mechanical Engineer

Experience: 2 years experience in a FMCG manufacturing plant

Skills:

  • Essential proficiency and experience of the following:
  • Spare parts inventory management capability for bottling line, beverage process and auxiliary equipment
  • With advantage if experience is of the following equipment:

▪ For Line Equipment - Krones, Sidel, ACMI, KHS, Tetrapak & etc.

For Process Equipment – MITECO, Tetrapak and etc.

▪ For Auxiliary Equipment - Atlas Copco & Ingersoll Rand Air Compressor, Vilter Refrigeration System, Superior or Cleaver Brooks Boiler System and etc.
  • Handling and storage of sensitive electronic devices
  • Basic proficiency and experience of the following:
  • Maintenance planning and resource preparation
  • Maintenance systems and with advantage if:

o TPM

o ExiM
  • FMEA Analysis
  • 5S
  • With basic knowledge on types, specifications and application for the following: bearings, rubbers, engineering plastics, pneumatics, electro-pneumatics, belts, chains, conveyors and steels
  • Can interpret mechanical and electrical drawing
