Job Description
The underwriting service specialist is responsible for interpreting, analyzing, and processing various activities in support of property and casualty insurance operations. The candidate will need to perform complex activities with a high degree of accuracy and consistently meet service level requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret data, analyze results, and process transactions in various systems in support of the following areas:
- Submission Clearance
- Workers Compensation
- Policy & Endorsement rating and Issuance
- Auto
- Compliance
- Other operations, as needed.
- Prepare and issue documents and reports accurately, as per specifications.
- Interact with team and customers as required to complete deliverables.
- Communicate issues or queries on a timely basis to ensure quick resolution.
- Assist with troubleshooting and improving processes, as needed
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- This candidate should have a background in either Workers Comp or Auto
- Strong verbal/written communication with fluency in the English language
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Detail and quality minded
- Collaborative and team-oriented with ability to execute within an international team
- Superior knowledge of Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible with changing requirements and ability to learn new processes quickly
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships
- 3-5 years of data processing and analysis experience required
- Previous experience in insurance industry desirable
- Auto Rating OR Workers Compensation experience is required
