Job Summary
Responsible for phlebotomy functions: proper patient’s identification, test requests verification, proper collection, correct labelling, handling and transporting of specimen to the laboratory processing area; maintaining superior performance with strict compliance to the safety procedures and quality standards of the company.
Job Description- Verifies patient’s information
- Assess patient’s test request to ensure that there are no discrepancies, missing or duplicates in the test order.
- Verifies patient’s diet restrictions including intake of drugs and prudently interviews patient’s personal and family medical history, as well as if there are any present signs and symptoms.
- Reassures patients if they are nervous or distressed. 5. Clearly explains the procedure to patient.
- Obtains blood specimens by performing proper venipuncture and skin puncture technique.
- Graduate of B.S. Medical Technology
- With at least 6 months to 1 year experience is a plus
- With good blood extraction
- Patient oriented and punctual
