Role and Responsibilities
The overall goal of the operations team is to offer the best customer service experience for our customers, to continually earn our client’s business and strive for continuous improvement.
Quotation Specialist (QS): QS associates possess the ability to read engineering and specification details. They excel in determining correct cross-references for competitive fixtures and possess intermediate knowledge of systems and integration.
Quotations Specialist will be responsible for accurate quotation of lighting projects and project management.- Accountable for pricing and quotes accuracy and meeting bid deadline – attention to detail is required
- Provide the best products for the project application
- Managing direct contractor and distributor partnerships to provide value and the fastest quote turn around available in the market for non-project quotations
- Responsible for precise logging of new projects and maintenance of the company bid board
- Must be able to research project documentation for substitution guidelines and procedure and assign correct deadlines based on project directives
- Weekly quotations follow up and customer feedback
- Communication and sales skills required over for telephone inquiries and project development
- Coordinate with sales team for project communication to specifiers and project managers
- Problem-solver that can collaborate with sales team to deliver the best outcome for the customer
- Work will be QC’d by Senior Quotations specialist, deliverables must meet company standard
- Self-motivated with a passion for lighting – and a desire to increase business year over year
- Need to be highly motivated, versatile, excellent communicator, able to take direction, multi-tasker, organized, team player.
- Bid board update – weekly
- Quotation accuracy and error report
- Quote rate and conversion rate
- Quotations update – won/lost/pending – weekly
- Asana report out
Qualifications and Education Requirements
No formal training required, lighting and electrical industry experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
Excellent command of the English language.
Knowledge of electrical theory and common components, basic lighting knowledge
Ability to articulate benefits of using one lighting fixture versus other types
Ability to read and understand electrical plans and locate luminaire schedule
High level of computer literacy and communication – email and voice
Very organized in daily activities and documentation
