Travel Product Development Supervisor

The Product Development Supervisor oversees the development, pricing, contracting, and maintenance of Domestic and International travel products.

This role ensures that travel packages, supplier rates, promotions, and airline blockings are accurate, competitive, and regularly updated while maximizing profitability and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the creation and maintenance of Domestic and International travel packages, tours, cruises, and promotions.
• Ensure rates, product information, and promotions are accurate and updated.
• Approve pricing strategies, markups, and product releases.
• Manage airline blockings, seat allocations, and inventory utilization.
• Negotiate contracts, rates, and promotional agreements with suppliers.

• Lead and manage a team of 4 to 8 Product Development Specialists.
• Monitor tasks, deadlines, productivity, and operational compliance.
• Conduct coaching sessions, performance evaluations, and provide ongoing support for team development.

• Monitor package profitability, turnover rates, margins, and inventory utilization.
• Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to track profitability and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
• Prepare regular performance and profitability reports.
• Recommend improvements in products, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.

• Develop, implement, and maintain department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure compliance with company standards, deadlines, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Willing to undergo training related to AI, Automation, and Claude.

• Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Travel Product Development, Contracting, or Tour Operations.
• At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of airline blockings, travel packaging, supplier negotiations, and inventory management.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
