About the Role

C9 is looking for a hands-on Full Stack Software Engineer (.NET & React) to build, enhance, and maintain high-quality software solutions across our client and internal platforms.

You will work as part of a delivery-focused Agile team, designing and implementing scalable, maintainable solutions using modern Microsoft technologies and clean architectural patterns. This is a practical engineering role, suited to someone who enjoys owning outcomes, contributing to architecture discussions, and delivering production-grade software

• Design, build, and maintain C#/.NET backend services and React front-end applications.
• Implement solutions using Clean Architecture principles, including CQRS and SOLID design practices.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers, technical leads, testers, and delivery managers.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Provision and work with infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot, debug, optimise, and enhance existing systems.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions, contributing to technical standards and shared patterns.
• Work within Agile Scrum teams, actively participating in planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Produce clear, maintainable, well-documented code suitable for long-term support.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a full stack software engineer using .NET (C#) and React.
• Strong practical understanding of:
• Clean Architecture
• CQRS
• SOLID principles
• Proven experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience building and supporting production systems.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira (or equivalent), and modern development workflows.
• Comfortable working remotely with distributed teams while remaining accountable for outcomes.
• Strong debugging, performance optimisation, and problem-solving capability.

• Proactive, self-directed, and delivery-focused.
• Strong attention to detail with a pragmatic approach under pressure.
• Able to explain technical decisions clearly to teammates and non-technical stakeholders.
• Enjoys working in collaborative, outcome-oriented engineering teams

• Experience in consulting or multi-client delivery environments.
• Exposure to:
• Azure DevOps advanced pipelines
• Cloud cost optimisation
• Integration-heavy or API-first systems
• Prior experience working with Australian or international clients.

• Work on real-world systems, not throwaway code.
• Exposure to modern software, cloud, integration, and data platforms.
• Strong engineering culture with a focus on code quality and maintainability.
