Network Security Engineer (Palo Alto Firewall)

Key Responsibilities
Network Security Operations- Perform daily operations and maintenance of security appliances, including Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama
- Manage high availability (HA), upgrades, and configurations of firewall environments
- Execute security changes, deployments, and configuration updates
- Handle break/fix incidents and critical (P1) war room escalations
- Provide real-time network monitoring and operational support
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, firewall, and connectivity issues
- Monitor and support network devices, ISP connections, and switches
- Use monitoring tools (e.g., NNMi, Splunk, OpenView) for alerts, analysis, and reporting
- Coordinate with clients to provide technical guidance and resolution
- Ensure smooth execution of changes, upgrades, and RMA processes
- Maintain technical documentation including:
- Runbooks
- SOPs / MOPs
- Standards and procedures
- Ensure business continuity through proper planning and documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in Network Security / Infrastructure
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama, HA, deployment)
- Firewall implementation in data center environments
- Network security and cloud security fundamentals
- Experience with monitoring tools such as:
- NNMi
- Splunk
- OpenView
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 shifting environment
