Data Analyst

The Data Analyst is responsible for data mining, analyzing, and interpreting data to support business needs. The role will develop and maintain reports and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and dashboards to meet business needs. The role will work with Business Stakeholders to understand the data and reporting requirements and write complex SQL queries (joins, subqueries, aggregations) to support business reporting and reporting datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, mine data and analyze data from various sources.
• Develop and maintain datasets for use by other teams in reporting and analysis.
• Use SQL to extract, analyze, and prepare data for reporting datasets.
• Use SQL to extract and clean data from multiple databases.
• Support BI tools by preparing SQL-based data sources
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Work with the Data Team to ensure that data is organized and utilized effectively.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting platforms.
• Apply best practices in developing BI reports.
• Troubleshoots BI tool problems and tunes for performance.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Pertinent experience in Data Modelling and Data Model normalization
• Relevant experience in using Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of data warehousing theories and techniques and multi-dimensional design
• Knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle) and the Business Intelligence area.
• Curious & Critical Thinker – ability to transform data into actionable insights.
• Experience of working in Agile (SCRUM) is an advantage.
• Ability to translate data into meaningful visualization
• Ability to comprehend complex technical and business concepts and adapt quickly to changes.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Good to have skills:

• Knowledge in Big Data / Data Science
• In-depth knowledge of Power BI, SSIS, SSAS, and Visual Studio
• Knowledge in Informatica, SSIS, and/or Snowflake
• Knowledge in ETL (Extract Transform Load) methodologies using tools/scripts and/or have experience doing data integration using ETL tools and ETL methodology.
