Manages day-to-day merchandising operations – managing availability of merchandise at the store as efficiently as possible. Develops, and executes merchandising plans that will deliver volume and profit goals. In support of the Retail Buying Manager, he/she is more on the ground, coordinating and collaborating with the Operations Team in obtaining customer insights, consumer trends, buying patterns to develop effective plans that will ensure maximum sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:

 I.  MERCHANDISING

SALES REPORTS AND ANALYSIS
  1. Prepares the annual sales forecast, monthly sales forecast (breakdown of annual forecast), and budget for his/her assigned brands for review by the Finance Manager, SOM, CFL- Operations and approval of the General Manager
  2. Achievement of the defined gross margin target
  3. Analyzes the performance of the brands based on volume and margins and recommends any changes to the Retail Buying Manager.
  4. Conducts weekly Merch Alignment meeting focusing on sales performance and Merch analysis. Include Meeting of Minutes
  5. Reviews sell-through and performance indicators
RECEIVING/DISTRIBUTION/TRANSFER
  1. Coordinates with the Warehouse Manager/Store Operations team to expedite processing, quality control and receiving of all arrivals as needed
  2. Recommends retail prices of all products considering prevailing competitive prices in other relevant countries and gross margin objectives for the brand as agreed upon with the General Manager
  3. Prepares the SKU creation file/RARI Purchase Order/Delivery Notice file for all incoming merchandise as confirmed by the Foreign Department
  4. Coordinates with the Foreign Department, on their delivery to the stores
  5. Coordinates with Warehouse Manager on tags releasing and delivery to stores
  6. Coordinates and monitors approved order payments with RCC finance team
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
  1. Ensures accuracy of the eMIS and sales reports, including coordination between in-store audit and IT
  2. Monitors, recommends, and takes action for all defectives (the Retail Buying Manager interfaces with the principal).
  3. Analyzes movement of stocks using the e-MIS and takes action to address immediate stock requirements, following the prescribed schedule in the policy and reports to Merchandising head, every first week of the month
  4. Analyzes inventory movement, and recommends and implements action plans on how to correct inventory problems, keeping in mind the sales and profit objectives of the brand (eMIS) every first week of the month
  5. Markdown process:
  6. Analyzes movement of stocks and proposes merchandise for inclusion in the store’s bi-annual sale event
  7. Proposes End-of-Season sale markdowns for approval from General Manager
  8. Executes price adjustments and ensures tags printing are done in a timely manner prior to the sale event
  9. Spearheads the preparations for EOS events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven work experience as a Merchandising Associate Manager or a similar role

Note: Must have experience on inventory management, sales analysis, reporting and pricing, preferably from a luxury retail company.
People management is well established: Should be able to manage small to medium sized teams on an interim basis

  3. Unquestionable ability to deliver and execute w/ strong consistency and attention to detail and quality, and can deliver in a quarterly, monthly, weekly horizon

  5. Ability to refine and improve checklists and processes
  6. Ability to organize and logically convey both verbal and written communications to staff at any level
  7. Experience in Budgeting, Profit and Loss
  8. College graduate – any 4-year course
  9. Highly analytical which is needed in sales and data interpretation
  10. Great interpersonal skills
  11. Detail oriented and highly observant
