System Administrator
About the role:
The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the organization’s IT infrastructure across Windows and Linux server environments, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems. This role ensures system availability, security, performance, and reliability while supporting both operational and project-based infrastructure initiatives.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting complex enterprise environments. This role involves troubleshooting production issues, managing infrastructure tools, and contributing to automation and system improvements.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Act as a Tier 2 escalation point for production and infrastructure-related issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
- Support Active Directory services including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related components.
- Perform Linux server administration including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Manage server and workstation patching activities using enterprise tools.
- Support Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Assist in managing cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Support virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Nutanix.
- Perform monitoring and incident response using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Support backup, recovery, and storage management processes.
- Assist in P2V migrations and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve system and application issues.
- Implement automation and scripting solutions using PowerShell or similar tools.
- Support global operations and flexible shift schedules as required.
Required Skills & Experience (To excel in this role, you should possess):
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in System Administration or Infrastructure Support.
- Strong experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
- At least 2 years of Linux server administration experience.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Knowledge of VMware or Nutanix virtualization platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with system patching tools and monitoring platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting or basic automation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global support environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with enterprise backup tools (Rubrik, NetApp, etc.).
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
