Industrial engineer - construction

Job Summary:

The IE is responsible in optimizing processes and systems to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Optimization: Analyzing and evaluating existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. They use tools like time and motion studies, data analysis, and simulation techniques to streamline workflows and eliminate waste.
• System Design: Planning, designing, and implementing systems that integrate people, materials, information, and equipment to improve operational efficiency.
• Workforce Planning: Assessing workforce requirements, designing work schedules, and implementing strategies to maximize productivity and resource utilization.
• Quality Control: Establishing standards and policies for testing, quality assurance, and maintenance to ensure product and service quality.
• Optimize complex processes and systems to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality across various industries.
• Review and analyze construction processes to improve productivity and workflow.
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to optimize labor, materials, and equipment use.
• Conduct time and motion studies and benchmark performance across projects.
• Monitor resource consumption and suggest ways to reduce project costs without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and site engineers to assess budget usage and potential savings.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist in forecasting project needs, timelines, and resource allocations.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to construction operations.
• Participate in quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide insights and support for strategic planning and decision-making.
• Ensures timely schedule of gate meeting and removal of roadblocks
• Organizes Continuous Improvement projects prioritization schedule with the CIO

• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to analyze complex systems and develop innovative solutions.
• Mathematical Proficiency: Using mathematical modeling and data analysis to inform decision-making.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with engineering principles, construction processes, and quality control methods.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or any related field.
• Experience in the construction industry or project-based environment is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in data analysis tools, MS Excel, and project management software.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
