Cashier

Job Summary

The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The position involves handling cash, credit card, and other payment transactions, maintaining accurate records of sales, and ensuring the cash register is balanced at the end of each shift.

• Receive payments from customers through cash, credit/debit cards, electronic payments, and other approved payment methods.
• Accurately process sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, and credits in accordance with company policies.
• Count cash in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Maintain an accurate record of transactions and daily sales reports.
• Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of cash and other company assets.
• Assist customers by answering inquiries and providing information regarding products and services.
• Resolve customer concerns courteously and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashiering area.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and security standards.
• Assist in inventory checks and other store operations as assigned.

• High school graduate, Senior High School graduate, or equivalent; college-level education is an advantage.
• Previous cashiering or customer service experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of POS systems and basic computer operations.
• Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Honest, trustworthy, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
