Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Temporary Cashier to support university operations during peak periods, such as enrollment, bookstore rushes, or campus events. This role serves as a frontline representative of the university, requiring a balance of administrative accuracy and student-centered service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Student & Faculty Transactions: Accurately process payments for tuition, laboratory fees, textbooks, university merchandise, and meal plans.
• Account Verification: Utilize the University Information System to verify student account statuses, balances, and clearance requirements.
• Information Hub: Provide clear guidance to students and parents regarding payment deadlines, refund policies, and installment plan options.
• Document Management: Issue official receipts and ensure all financial documents are filed or distributed according to university auditing standards.
• Reconciliation: Perform daily end-of-shift liquidations, ensuring cash, checks, and digital payments match the system-generated reports.
• Crowd Management: Maintain an organized and professional environment during high-traffic periods, such as start-of-term registration.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree holder in any business related degree
• Experience: Having related experience is an advantage. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Basic competency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn campus-specific Point of Sale (POS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• High level of honesty and discretion when handling sensitive student financial information and large sums of cash.
• Ability to remain calm and empathetic when assisting students or parents who may have questions about complex fee structures
