Senior Accounting Officer (General Accounting)

VM Consultancy is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Officer to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in maintaining our financial integrity and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting cycles across our locations in Pasig and Malolos, Bulacan.

Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping & Ledger Management: Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records; manage the general ledger to ensure all transactions are properly categorized.
• Reconciliation & Closing: Execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including bank reconciliations, monthly journal entries, and reconciling subledgers to the general ledger.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet and Income Statement).
• Tax & Compliance: Lead the preparation and filing of statutory tax returns, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the end-to-end cycle of vendor payments, check vouchers, and customer invoicing to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Audit & Internal Control: Act as a key point of contact for external audit requests and ensure all financial activities comply with internal control policies.
• Handling of Commissions: Calculate, record, and reconcile sales commissions to ensure accuracy and timely payouts for the team.
• Ad-Hoc Tasks: Perform other financial and administrative duties as assigned by management to support evolving business needs and special projects.

• Proven experience in general accounting or a senior finance role.
• Strong knowledge of local tax regulations (VAT, Withholding Tax).
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
