About the Team:
This is a senior-level, high-impact individual contributor role reporting to the regional communications team and working closely with local leadership in the Philippines. We are seeking a seasoned communications professional with extensive expertise in corporate communications, crisis and reputation management, media strategy, and stakeholder engagement.
As Sea Limited’s key spokesperson and strategic advisor in the Philippines, you will lead the development and execution of integrated communications strategies that protect and enhance our corporate reputation, articulate our social impact, and position Sea Limited as a trusted partner in the country’s digital development.
The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams across our core businesses, as well as regional stakeholders. You will also work with trusted partners to support the delivery of high-impact communications initiatives tailored to the local market.
Job Description:
Strategic Communications Leadership- Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that enhance Sea Limited’s corporate reputation and support our business and policy objectives in the Philippines.
- Lead issues and crisis communication efforts, including risk assessments, response planning, and real-time execution to protect and preserve the company’s reputation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media, government agencies, industry associations, and relevant opinion leaders to proactively shape the public narrative
- Act as the primary representative for external communications in the market. Develop compelling content, manage media inquiries, coordinate interviews, and deliver thought leadership opportunities that reflect our brand values.
- Craft strategic messaging around policy and regulatory issues relevant to Sea Limited’s businesses, and collaborate with internal stakeholders on positioning and outreach.
- Support and communicate local CSR initiatives aligned with regional programs showcasing our mission of bettering the lives of consumers and small businesses through technology.
- Work with internal teams and trusted external collaborators to deliver well-executed and impactful communication initiatives tailored to local market dynamics.
- Monitor public sentiment, market trends, and regulatory developments. Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders and regional stakeholders, drawing on insights and best practices in communications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Political Science, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in communications, PR, or corporate affairs, ideally within the technology, digital, or high-growth sectors.
- Deep expertise in crisis communications and reputation management, with a proven ability to lead during high-pressure situations.
- Strong understanding of the Philippines’ media and public affairs landscape, with robust relationships across press and policy circles.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for turning complex topics into compelling, audience-specific messages.
- Experience in working with senior leadership, managing stakeholders, and executing high-level strategic campaigns.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural, and matrixed organization.
