About the role
We are seeking a talented Back of the House professional to join our dynamic team at Yayoi Restaurant in Mandaue City, Cebu. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the efficient and high-quality food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our customers.
What you'll be doing- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Japanese dishes to the highest standards
- Ensure all food preparation and presentation meets the company's quality and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen environment
- Assist with menu planning and developing new culinary offerings
- Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding customer service
- Adhere to all health, safety and hygiene regulations
- Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff as required
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Back of the House role within a reputable restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques
- Excellent food preparation and kitchen management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends
