Tasks and Responsibilities Required for the Position:
- Witness materials testing, analyzing test data, evaluating and investigating material failure the performance of different qualities as per the required specification & standard of the project.
- Making & issued Non-conformance report (NCR) for the material failed test result.
- Making Reviews & comments on the DRC for the Material approval submittal (MAR) as per the required specification & Standard requirements and always coordinate to contractor for the material activities of the project. Conducting Material inspection & site visit with coordination to contractor in regards to material approval submission.
- As a Material Engineer, test and assess the materials used in construction to ensure that materials are suitable and offer guidance on the best material to use and must work to strict safety and quality control requirement of the project.
- Providing technical advice about the suitability of material for different structures and facilities.
Specific/special Qualifications Required for the Position, if any:
- Professional Civil Engineer
- Materials Engineer accredited by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) (MEII)
- Knowledge of testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO) for construction and industrial materials
