Field Service Coordinator - Testing

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes inspection protocols, defines sampling procedures, and determines equipment and mechanisms to be used in the testing of various equipment
- Recommends changes in specifications of materials, parts, and products based on inspection results; may formulate and suggest revising inspection and testing procedures with approval from the immediate Supervisor, Manager, and management.
- Acts as a knowledge resource or subject matter expert for other team members.
- Conduct training to subordinates in the Technical Services Department on proper testing procedures and safety habits.
- Documents all non-conformances to testing standards and reports the same in Operations/Management Meetings; recommends corrective measures, including coaching sessions, to improve the quality of our products.
- Recommends/Endorses Leave applications & OT, recommends promotions, and other employee movements
- Assist the team in creating and improving the inspection checklist
- Helps to foster a continuous improvement philosophy in the workplace
- Leads in the installation, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and repair of the company’s electrical products.
- May be assigned to attend meetings with clients to explain technical details
- Operates various electrical tools and testing instruments.
- Conducts site inspection, as may be required in the Work Order.
- Diagnoses work required and prepares Bill of Materials for costing.
- May handle on-the-spot repair for simple works, as coordinated with the Technical Services Manager or Field Service Supervisor.
- Requests for materials, tools, and test equipment that may be needed in service.
- Performs technical services on-site.
- Prepares service report and submits to the Field Service Supervisor and Order Planner.
- Prepares PMS using a Gantt chart, as required from time to time.
- Creates formal reports and other necessary documents to close out a transaction.
- Operates any of the following machines/tools:
- Fluke Multimeter
- Thermal scanner
- Various Electrical test equipment
- Power tools
- Observes and implements 5S and safety practices in the work area.
- Performs other functions as may be requested from time to time.
Qualification Standards:
- College graduate in Electrical Engineering
- Registered Electrical Engineer
- With 1 to 2 years of experience in testing, commissioning, and electrical field works
- Can understand basic electrical systems, particularly in wiring and control
- Skilled in troubleshooting, wiring, installation, retrofitting, testing, and related works
- Can operate various electrical tools and electrical testing equipment
