Electrical shift engineer
About the Role
Davao Central Chemical Corporation is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Team.
Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer will provide additional manpower support to the Engineering Team and will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and efficiency of the plant's electrical and instrumentation systems. The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, upgrading of equipment, and implementation of electro-mechanical projects to support continuous plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation faults to minimize equipment downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of production machines and facility equipment.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems, control systems, and plant equipment as required.
- Monitor and maintain plant electrical distribution systems and related facilities.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and supervision of electro-mechanical projects.
- Prepare maintenance reports, project documentation, and other reports related to facilities operations.
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance personnel to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) is preferred with at least 1–3 years of relevant experience in industrial, manufacturing, or plant operations.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, motor controls, PLCs, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
