We are seeking a versatile and technically proficient Electronics & Communications Engineer (ECE) to manage and maintain our office’s technical infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless connectivity, maintaining security systems, and providing general technical support for all office electronics and electrical peripherals.
Key Responsibilities- Network & Connectivity:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of office internet and local area networks (LAN).
- Maintain and optimize Wi-Fi coverage and wired network stability within the office and barracks.
- Security & Surveillance:
- Lead the installation, positioning, and routine maintenance of CCTV camera systems.
- Manage DVR/NVR systems, ensuring continuous recording and remote viewing capabilities.
- IT & Office Equipment:
- Perform complete computer setup (hardware and software) for new and existing employees.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connection issues for printers, scanners, and other office peripherals.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on all office computers and servers.
- Electrical Maintenance:
- Diagnose and repair minor electrical issues related to office equipment and workstations.
- Assist in monitoring energy conservation protocols (e.g., ensuring mandatory shutdown of electronics during breaks).
- Administrative Support:
- Maintain an updated inventory of all technical assets and equipment.
- Recommend upgrades or replacements for outdated hardware to improve operational efficiency.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE). Licensed ECE is an advantage but not required if experienced.
- Experience: Proven experience in network administration, CCTV installation, and general IT troubleshooting.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and hardware.
- Proficiency in diagnosing hardware and software issues for PC
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and safety standards for office environments.
- Location: Must be a resident of Tacloban City or nearby areas (e.g., Palo) for quick response to technical emergencies.
- Attributes: Highly organized, proactive in preventive maintenance, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
