Safety officer

Job Description

• Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures on construction sites to ensure compliance with local and international safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of construction sites, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide bilingual safety training sessions to workers, ensuring all employees understand and follow safety protocols.
• Conduct site-specific risk assessments and safety audits to mitigate hazards.
• Advise and assist supervisors and workers in safe operating procedures, especially when handling machinery and equipment.
• Investigate workplace accidents, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures.

• Ability to translate safety protocols, instructions, and reports clearly in both languages.
• In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Strong ability to identify and mitigate workplace hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in a bilingual environment.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to enforce safety standards.
• Ability to use safety management software and reporting tools.
• Attention to detail with the ability to conduct thorough inspections and audits.
