Restaurant general manager

Job Description

• Hire, train, and supervise restaurant employees.
• Create staff schedule to ensure appropriate staffing.
• Track stock levels of food, supplies, equipment, forecast needs, and oversee ordering as necessary.
• Take ownership of budgets and cost control methods to minimize expenses.
• Address customer needs, comments, and complaints.
• Adhere to and enforce employee compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Ensure all employees are working within outlined operating standards.
• Report on financial performance, inventory, and personnel.
• Communicate with customers to receive feedback and manage complaints.
• Maintain safety and food quality standards.
• Ensure all end of day cash outs are correctly completed.
• Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it.
• Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
• Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
• Promote the brand in the local community through word-of- mouth and restaurant events.

• Proven experience as Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or similar managerial role
• Sound understanding of optimization of store operations and standards for success
• Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
• Acute business acumen
• Excellent problem- solving abilities
