Engineering Manager – Renewables

Job Summary:

The Engineering Manager (Renewables) is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of renewable energy projects, including:

• Engineering design
• Technology evaluation
• Technical feasibility and due diligence

This role ensures projects are executed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards. The position supports project development and EPC execution primarily.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Development & Engineering

• Lead technical assessment and feasibility studies for solar PV, wind, and/or BESS projects.
• Evaluate site conditions, resource availability, and system configurations.
• Collaborate with development teams to prepare technical inputs for permitting and grid connection.

1. Design & Technology Evaluation

• Review and approve system designs (preliminary, detailed, as-built).
• Stay updated on emerging technologies in PV modules, inverters, wind turbines, and storage systems.
• Conduct technical evaluations of vendors and equipment for performance, cost, and reliability.

1. Project Execution Support

• Coordinate with EPC contractors and consultants during project implementation.
• Review technical deliverables, such as drawings, specifications, and commissioning plans.
• Monitor construction quality, testing, and commissioning processes.

1. Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with local and international electrical codes, grid codes, and renewable energy standards.
• Prepare documentation and reports for regulatory agencies, investors, and stakeholders.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in renewable energy project development or EPC.
• Strong understanding of solar PV, wind energy, and/or battery energy storage systems (BESS). Knowledge on hydro and pump storage systems is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, ETAP, Helioscope).
• Knowledge of SCADA, remote monitoring, and grid interconnection requirements.
• Excellent project management and renewable technologies.
