Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and maintains necessary documentations of all the area projects.
  • Works closely with the Marketing department to track new markets and emerging trends, new products and services, proposes and develops new strategic partnerships, and guides long-term objectives to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Coordinates and implements plans designed to increase existing business and capture new opportunities.
  • Conducts research on new opportunities to ensure resources focus on the best opportunities
  • Supports and coordinates with the Marketing, Sales and Public relations activities.
  • Assist in preparing business plans and budgets for new projects.
  • Assists in the development of training plans and performance improvement plan to address skill set gaps identified in business and sales personnel.
  • Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to give advice.
  • Monitors company policies consistently and fairly
  • Monitors business development initiatives

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Revenue Generation & Client Acquisition
  • Actively source, qualify, and engage potential clients, merchants, agents, and strategic partners.
  • Support end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, including needs assessment, proposal preparation, and contract facilitation.
  • Conduct regular outreach via calls, emails, events, and industry networking to build the sales pipeline.
  1. Partnership Development & Account Management
  • Assist in establishing and strengthening relationships with financial institutions, payment service providers, fintech start-ups, and corporate partners.
  • Monitor partner performance and proactively recommend initiatives to increase transaction volume and service adoption.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes, ensuring timely submission of contracts and compliance documents.
  1. Market Intelligence & Business Strategy Support
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging opportunities, competitive movements, and regulatory changes affecting the fintech and EMI landscape.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Business Development Manager for strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain a competitor intelligence database to track market positioning and pricing strategies.
  1. Internal Collaboration & Project Coordination
  • Liaise with Product, Marketing, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure partner requirements are delivered within agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate the preparation of marketing collaterals, product demos, and onboarding sessions.
  • Track and update project milestones to ensure smooth execution of business development initiatives.
  1. Compliance & Risk Management Support
  • Ensure all business development activities adhere to BSP regulations, AMLA, and Data Privacy Act requirements.
  • Assist in gathering and verifying KYC and due diligence documents for prospective partners.
  • Flag potential risks or compliance concerns to the Business Development Manager for resolution.
  1. Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM system.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales and pipeline reports with analysis on conversion rates and revenue contribution.
  • Monitor KPIs and contribute to the achievement of team revenue targets.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is an advantage.
