JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Performs job functions consistent with the corporate vision and mission statement and the core values of the organization.
  • Ensures that all claims to individual accounts, Philhealth, HMOs and corporate accounts are billed correctly and within the prescribed period as indicated in the memorandum of agreement.
  • Assigns billing numbers to all claims for hospital bills and professional bills.
  • Encodes data on discharged patients with guaranteed accounts as well as settlement of patients’ hospital bills and professional fees into the Bizbox computer software system.
  • Encodes all official receipts generated from the cashiering system related to the payment of hospital bills from individual patients, health maintenance organizations and corporate accounting into the computer records by way of Bizbox system and generates subsidiary ledgers from summarizing of such accounts.
  • Generates a monthly report of all HMO and other Company guarantor balances and submits copies to the Finance Manager and Administrator, maintains the guarantor file in the Bizbox system. Updates the file when new guarantors are accredited.
  • Undertakes balancing of daily collections from the different sources.
  • Enters adjusting entries on receivables in case of payments through invalid checks.
  • Prepares schedules of receivables on a periodic basis.
  • Assists in the collection of accounts receivable.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Accounting technical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel)
  • Must have a keen attention to details
  • Must possess organizing skills
  • Preferably one (1) year of accounting-related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in any Accountancy-related course
