Job Purpose

The Technical Support Engineer supports customers and internal teams by providing accurate technical guidance. The role ensures that products meet technical requirements while supporting marketing and sales activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Support
  • Review, interpret, and explain the technical specifications, features, and applications of electrical products to customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Address technical inquiries and provide solutions related to product selection, application and performance.
  • Support bidding activities by reviewing technical requirements and ensuring alignment of offered products with customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with the sales team by providing technical inputs during customer meetings, presentations, and project discussions.
  • Prepare and provide technical specifications for proposals and quotations.
  • Develop and update technical materials such as technical data sheets and product references.
Training and Field Support
  • Conduct technical product demonstrations, training sessions, and presentations for customers, partners, and internal teams during expos, client visits, and company-led activities.
  • Support marketing initiatives by providing technical content for brochures, catalogs, presentations, and digital materials.
  • Participate in technical evaluations, product assessments, and troubleshooting activities, including after-sales support to ensure product compliance, correct application, and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in factory acceptance tests, as required.
Product Knowledge and Evaluation
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the company’s product portfolio and their applications in the power industry.
  • Coordinate with principals and suppliers for technical updates and clarifications.
  • Evaluate the company’s product portfolio to identify high-demand items and solutions that address customer needs.
  • Provide insights on product performance, gaps, and opportunities for new or alternative products.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, electrical codes, and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • License: Preferably a licensed Electrical Engineer (REE)
  • Work Experience:
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience in the electrical distribution, or power industry.
  • Experience in handling electrical products such as pole line hardware, connectors, bi-metallic conductors, FRP crossarms, transformers, steel poles, and semi-conductive plastic ties is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in both verbal and written English and Filipino.
  • Working knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of electrical products and their application in the power industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to prepare technical documentation and presentations.
  • Characteristics:
  • Technical & Professional Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail; ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good communication skills, professional in both written and face-to-face interactions
  • Personal Attributes: Team player with the ability to work independently; organized and self-motivated;

Working conditions:

Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Arrangement: On-site
Work Location: West Triangle, Quezon City
Meal Break: 1-hour break (included in work hours)

Travel Requirement: Willing to travel locally and internationally for customer and supplier engagements.
