About the role
Airmix Enterprise Construction Incorporated is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Officer to join our team in Commonwealth, Quezon City, Metro Manila on a full-time basis. This is a crucial role within our organisation, responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all employees, contractors, and visitors on our construction sites.As Safety Officer, you will play a vital part in maintaining our commitment to industry-leading safety standards and regulatory compliance. Your strategic focus on hazard identification, risk mitigation, and safety culture will directly contribute to preventing incidents and protecting our most valuable asset—our people.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on workplace safety whilst supporting the successful delivery of our construction projects.
Key responsibilities- Conduct regular site inspections and hazard assessments to identify potential safety risks and non-compliance issues
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with local regulations and industry best practices
- Provide safety training and induction programmes to employees, contractors, and subcontractors on construction sites
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Monitor and maintain accurate safety records, incident reports, and compliance documentation
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, including occupational health and safety departments, to ensure ongoing compliance
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to reinforce safe working practices and raise awareness
- Manage personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, inspections, and distribution across construction sites
- Advise project managers and site supervisors on safety requirements during project planning and execution phases
- Promote and foster a strong safety culture throughout the organization through engagement and continuous improvement initiatives
- A recognized safety qualification such as COSH
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience working as a Safety Officer or in a similar health and safety role, preferably within the construction sector
- Comprehensive knowledge of Philippine occupational health and safety regulations and local construction standards
- Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation methodologies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization, from site workers to senior management
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed safety records, preparing reports, and using safety management systems
- Proven ability to develop and deliver safety training and awareness program
- Sound judgment and decision-making capability in assessing and managing safety risks
- Physical capability to conduct regular site inspections and work in construction environments
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving abilities and a genuine commitment to safety excellence
