The Product Head for Gift Cards will lead the end-to-end strategy, growth, and innovation of the company's gift card business across physical and digital channels. This role is responsible for driving revenue, expanding partnerships, enhancing customer experience, and positioning gift cards as a key payment and engagement product within the SM ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Strategy & P&L Ownership
  • Own the overall gift card business, including P&L, revenue growth, and profitability
  • Define and execute short- and long-term product strategy (physical, e-gift cards, B2B solutions)
  • Identify new use cases (corporate incentives, loyalty integration, digital wallets)
  1. Product Development & Innovation
  • Lead development of new features such as digital gifting, personalization, and omni-channel redemption
  • Drive roadmap for integration with mobile apps, e-commerce platforms, and POS systems
  • Ensure seamless customer experience across online and offline channels
  1. Partnerships & Business Development
  • Build and manage relationships with corporate clients, fintech partners, and aggregators
  • Expand B2B sales channels (bulk purchases, employee rewards, promos)
  • Collaborate with internal brands and affiliates to increase adoption
  1. Go-To-Market & Growth
  • Develop and execute marketing and growth strategies to increase card usage and reload frequency
  • Launch campaigns for peak seasons (holidays, back-to-school, corporate cycles)
  • Optimize pricing, promotions, and distribution channels
  1. Operations & Risk Management
  • Oversee issuance, inventory, fraud prevention, and compliance processes
  • Ensure alignment with financial regulations and internal controls
  • Improve operational efficiency and scalability
  1. Data & Performance Management
  • Track key KPIs: sales volume, activation rate, redemption rate, breakage, and customer acquisition
  • Leverage analytics to drive product improvements and customer insights
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 10–15+ years experience in product management, payments, fintech, retail, or loyalty programs
  • Proven track record of owning P&L and scaling a product/business line
  • Experience in gift cards, prepaid cards, digital wallets, or fintech ecosystems is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, retail operations, and digital commerce
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
