Responsibilities:

This is a senior creative production role working directly with the Creative Director. You will take written briefs and deliver finished, print-ready work across editorial publications, brand identity, campaign collateral, signage production artwork, and static digital assets.

The work is varied, the deadlines are real, and the output must be right before it leaves your desk.

  • Editorial and publication design: Design and layout of trade magazines and industry publications in Adobe InDesign. Approximately 15 to 20 publications per year across multiple client titles. You will work with established templates, master pages, paragraph and character styles, and supplied copy and images. You make intelligent editorial decisions — fitting content across pages, managing hierarchy across multiple stories, and maintaining consistency across every issue. Volume work under real deadlines.
  • Brand identity and guidelines: Create brand identities from scratch based on written client briefs. Logo systems, colour, typography, brand voice application across formats, an complete brand guidelines documents. The brief tells you what is needed — your job is the creative ability and technical execution to build something considered, original, and professionally documented.
  • Campaign and marketing collateral: Posters, OOH, event materials, presentation decks, POS, in-store signage, and print-ready campaign assets across multiple client accounts. Seasonal campaigns, product launches, retailer activations, and event creative across various industries including sport, construction, entertainment, and NFP. You receive a brief and deliver.
  • Signage and wayfinding production: Production artwork for a signage business including wayfinding systems, braille, tactile, and compliance signage. Vector redrawing in Illustrator, dieline setup, layout for fabrication, CMYK colour management, and preparing printer-ready files and signage supplier guides. You understand how physical signage is manufactured, set files up correctly the first time, and communicate technical specifications clearly to print and fabrication suppliers.
  • Static social and digital assets: Static social media assets across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn at correct platform specifications. Meta advertising assets at correct sizes and formats. Assets must be on-brand, commercially sharp, and consistent across multiple client accounts. You know specs without being told and you produce work that does not need to come back for corrections.
  • File discipline: Organised file delivery every time. Correct naming conventions. No orphan files. Clean structured folders handed off to the team ready to use.

Requirements

Tools You Will Use

Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, WhatsApp, OneDrive, Google Meet, and Airtable. Familiarity with these or equivalent tools is expected at a senior level.

Core Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience as a Senior Graphic Designer, demonstrated through a strong portfolio — not just a CV
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, including master pages, paragraph and character styles, grids, typographic hierarchy, and long-form layout design
  • Portfolio must include multi-page editorial or publication work; brochures and single-page documents alone will not meet the requirement
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator skills, including vector illustration, logo creation, branding systems, signage artwork, dielines, and fabrication-ready files
  • Strong Adobe Photoshop skills, including professional retouching, compositing, and image preparation for both print and digital outputs
  • Solid understanding of pre-press and print production, including bleed, crop marks, CMYK, overprint, colour profiles, and print-ready file preparation
  • Ability to deliver accurate, production-ready files before handoff — this is essential, not optional
  • Demonstrated experience creating complete brand identity systems, from concept development through final brand guidelines
  • Portfolio must showcase logo systems, typography, colour palettes, usage rules, and multi-format brand applications
  • Strong poster and campaign design experience with clear understanding of layout, hierarchy, and effective use of white space
  • Ability to create commercially effective designs that communicate clearly, not purely decorative work
  • Excellent typographic skills, including kerning, tracking, leading, and hierarchy across print and digital formats
  • Strong understanding of white space as an intentional design element
  • Ability to interpret written briefs and independently execute projects to a finished standard with minimal creative direction
  • Strong file management, organisation, and naming convention practices across all Adobe applications
Nice to Have
  • Experience using Figma for asset handoff and basic UI collaboration with digital teams
  • Experience with After Effects for motion graphics and animated social content
  • Video editing experience for short-form and social media content
  • Packaging design experience, including dielines, structural layouts, and print-ready packaging files
  • Experience creating pitch decks and presentation designs
