Key responsibilities
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods and packages to designated delivery locations
- Plan and optimise delivery routes to maximise efficiency and ensure timely deliveries
- Load, unload and secure packages in the delivery vehicle in a manner that prevents damage
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, delivery times and any issues encountered
- Communicate professionally with customers upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service
- Inspect vehicles daily to ensure they are in good working condition and report any mechanical issues
- Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies whilst driving
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle at all times
- Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role within the logistics or retail sector
- Excellent knowledge of Metro Manila road networks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain a professional demeanour in all interactions
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry and handle packages of varying weights
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A clean driving record with no serious traffic violations
- Reliability and punctuality, with a strong commitment to meeting delivery schedules
- Basic familiarity with GPS systems and route planning technology is advantageous
