Procurement assistant

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or administrative support (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of procurement procedures and supplier management.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare Request for Quotation (RFQ), Invitation to Bid (ITB), and other procurement documents.
• Canvass items and services from multiple suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and terms.
• Assist in evaluating bids/quotations and preparing bid comparison reports.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding delivery timelines, order confirmations, and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, including purchase orders and delivery receipts.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and budgetary constraints.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the requesting departments for their supply needs.
• Update supplier database and maintain good vendor relationships.
• Provide administrative support to the procurement team, including filing, data entry, and report generation.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Procurement Officer or Manager.
