RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with company goals.
  • Identify and source new suppliers while maintaining and strengthening relationships with current suppliers.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring that agreements meet the business's quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
Supplier & Vendor Management
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring that agreements meet the business's quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers based on delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Cost Control & Budgeting
  • Develop and manage procurement budgets to control costs while meeting operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and value maximization.
Process Optimization & Compliance
  • Oversee the development and improvement of procurement processes, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement procurement best practices to optimize procurement workflows and reduce procurement cycle times.

Minor Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure contingency plans are in place to address disruptions in the supply chain.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with supervisory or leadership experience. Experience in the logistics industry is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Knowledge of procurement procedures, sourcing strategies, and supply chain principles.
