About the Team

The Consumer Engineering (CE) team is responsible for building all consumer-facing experiences. We are expanding our capabilities to power the next generation of AI-driven consumer experiences that surprise and delight. We plan to achieve this by building innovative new platforms, frameworks, and solutions designed to make healthcare easy and personalized.

As a Technical Program Manager on this team, you will partner closely with multiple cross-functional engineering, product, and business teams to drive the successful delivery of these critical initiatives.

Key Challenges

Delivering Simplified Healthcare Experiences:Drive programs applying cutting-edge AI/ML techniques to navigate the intricate healthcare landscape, making it easier for millions of users to access care.

Executing Scalable AI Systems Delivery:Manage the end-to-end execution for designing and deploying robust, production-grade AI solutions within consumer-facing applications.

Rapid Innovation:Facilitate the program structures needed to identify, experiment with, and integrate new AI advancements (like LLMs) into impactful healthcare solutions effectively and ethically.

Cross-Functional Integration:Ensure seamless integration of AI capabilities by managing dependencies and communication between the core AI engineering team, product, design, and other engineering counterparts.

What You'll Do

Partner with Engineering Leaders to define program scope, deliverables, timelines, milestones, and resource needs for key AI initiatives.

Drive program execution by coordinating efforts across the AI engineering team, other CE teams, Product Management, Design, and potentially other departments. Facilitate cross-functional meetings and ensure clear action items and accountability.

Proactively identify, track, and manage technical and logistical dependencies between different teams or workstreams

Ensure clear, concise, and timely communication of program status, risks, issues, and changes to stakeholders at all levels, including engineers, Engineering Leaders, product partners, and senior leadership.

Identify inefficiencies in program execution processes and collaborate with Engineering Leaders and team members to drive improvements, enhancing delivery velocity, predictability, and quality. Champion program management best practices.

Leverage your technical understanding to facilitate discussions around program trade-offs, requirements clarification, and issue resolution related to AI/ML projects.

Build strong working relationships and manage expectations with key stakeholders across engineering, product, and design.

Monitor program progress against schedules and resource allocations, highlighting potential deviations and working with stakeholders on adjustments.

Contribute to a team culture focused on technical excellence, continuous learning, and curiosity.

What We're Looking For

Core Experience:5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management

Tech Product Expertise:Proven track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional technical programs from initiation through delivery using various methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).

Execution & Organizational Skills:Excellent planning, organizational, and execution skills with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Strong Communicator:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical and program information for diverse audiences (technical peers, product, leadership). Ability to influence direct and indirect team members.

Technical Acumen:Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle. Sufficient technical background to understand AI/ML concepts, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), API development, and common deployment patterns (like containerization, serverless) to effectively manage technical program risks and dependencies.

Adaptability & Learning Agility:Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies, comfortable working on tasks outside your immediate expertise.

Ownership & Drive:You are self-driven, take immense pride in your work, proactively tackle problems, and find satisfaction in building impactful solutions.

Inherent Curiosity:You possess a strong desire to understandhowandwhythings work, not just accepting that they do.

Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience managing programs for large-scale, consumer-facing applications.

Experience working within the healthcare industry or another regulated environment.

Experience specifically managing programs involving AI/ML model development and deployment, including LLMs.
