Duties and Responsibilities

Strategy Execution
  • Supports the vision and long-term strategies of the board of directors.
  • Assists in developing and implementing functional tactics and long term objectives for the company, with supporting budgets, policies, and procedures to support operations.
Administrative Management
  • Implements policies and makes decisions that guide the productivity, quality output, and efficiency of plant operations.
  • Oversees the management of the company's support functions including:

o Finance and costing analysis

o Engineering

o Human Resources

o ISO Certification and Compliance

o Government Agency Compliance
  • Ensures that policies are observed and enforced impartially.
Plant Management
  • Provides direction for quality management, purchasing, and warehouse management programs and initiatives in coordination with their respective department heads.
  • Understands the day-to-day nuances of metal fabrication operations and can make recommendations for improvement from a technical standpoint.
  • Administers plant safety and security procedures and training are in place, and that operations are in compliance with all governing regulations.
  • Administers maintenance of the physical plant and machinery.
  • Oversees warehouse management and assists in production planning.
People Management
  • Cultivates a culture of teamwork, productivity, professionalism, and genuine empathy with the company and its ideals.
  • Maintains a workplace safe from physical harm and unfair treatment.
  • Enables the growth, advancement, and motivation of the company's employees.
  • May be called upon to resolve labor concerns within the company, and represent the company in front of the Department of Labor, should the need arise.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Helps to formulate and implement an effective sales strategy.
  • Seeks and develops potential clients and close sales on behalf of the company.
  • Serves as a representative of the company in the face of customer concerns and complaints.
Reporting and Analysis
  • Collects metrics, analyzes productivity, and sets performance targets that will meet revenue and cost goals.
  • Regularly reports summarized data and analyses to the General Manager and Board of Directors.
Other Tasks
  • Implement other tasks that may be assigned by management from time to time
