Key Account Manager

Role Overview: The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving business growth and brand visibility of Small Steps Skin within Watsons and other assigned modern trade accounts. This role will manage strategic partnerships, ensure flawless execution of in-store activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sales targets and elevate the brand’s presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management & Business Development
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date account records including store lists, promotions, key contacts, and plan summaries.
  • Manage and ensure timely product and promo enlistment, price updates, and trade program compliance.
  • Collaborate with buyers and category managers to align on business objectives, brand strategies, and sell-through plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within Watsons and partner accounts.
  • Communicate and implement brand campaigns, in-store promotions, and activation plans tailored to the account’s needs.
  • Resolve trade-related issues with urgency and professionalism, fostering long-term trust and collaboration.
  • Develop account-specific strategies to grow sales, expand product distribution, and drive in-store execution excellence.
  • Identify growth opportunities such as entry into new doors, e-commerce integration, and exclusive collaborations.
Sales & Operations Coordination
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales trends, out-of-stock levels, pricing, and merchandising compliance.
  • Conduct regular trade visits to assess store conditions, collect competitor intelligence, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal teams (logistics, supply chain, marketing) and third-party agencies to ensure smooth execution of store openings, display installations, and promotional rollouts.
  • Coordinate with finance and credit teams to monitor receivables and ensure timely processing of transactions.
  • Generate regular sales reports and account performance reviews with data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Support the broader commercial team in planning, forecasting, and reporting activities.
