Job Title: Assistant Manager - Sales Account Manager

Reports to: Director of Sales

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining long term relationships with key accounts, driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships and ensuring the successful execution of bookings and events.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
  • Manage a portfolio of key corporate / government and leisure accounts, ensuring consistent communication and relationship building
  • Identify and cultivate new accounts to expand the hotel’s client base
  • Maintain a detailed account profiles including preferences, booking history and business potential
  • Develop customized proposals and presentations to meet client needs
SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets for rooms, events and other hotel services.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities through networking, prospecting and attending industry events or trade shows
  • Conduct sales calls, in-person meetings to showcase the hotel offerings
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring profitability while meeting client requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and industry developments to identify opportunities
CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and loyalty.
  • Provide exceptional service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction throughout the booking and event process
  • Keep clients informed about new packages, promotions and hotel updates that align with their needs.
  • Conduct regular client reviews to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement
COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure the seamless execution of group bookings and events
  • Provide detailed event requirements to operations team via BEO or other communication tools.
REPORTING AND ANALYSIS
  • Prepare sales reports and performance metrics for management.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor performance and account potential to identify growth opportunities.
  • Track and monitor sales performance against targets, making adjustments to strategies as needed.
