Business Finance Manager - Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
Overall Objectives:
The Business Finance Manager serves as the strategic finance business partner to Sales, Product Management, and other commercial functions to support profitable growth, financial discipline, and business decision-making.
The role is responsible for driving gross margin optimization, commercial profitability analysis, pricing governance, and business performance management across assigned business units, brands, products, and channels.
The position also plays a key role in strengthening commercial accountability, supporting working capital discipline, and ensuring alignment between growth objectives and financial stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Business Partnering & Commercial Finance Support:- Serve as strategic finance business partner to Sales, Product Management, and other commercial stakeholders
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and growth initiatives
- Support evaluation of pricing actions, product launches, promotional activities, and commercial programs
- Challenge business assumptions and ensure financial considerations are incorporated into commercial decision-making
- Drive alignment between profitability objectives and commercial growth strategies
B. Gross Margin & Profitability Stewardship:

- Gross Margin Analysis & Monitoring - Lead gross margin analysis across products, brands, channels, and customers Analyze drivers impacting gross margin including:
product mix
discounts and rebates
dealer support programs
inventory cost movements
forex and supply chain impacts
promotional activities
Monitor actual margin performance versus budget, forecast, and prior periods
Identify margin leakage, profitability risks, and improvement opportunities
Prepare regular gross margin bridge and variance analyses
- Product Management Finance Partnering - Partner closely with Product Management teams on product profitability and lifecycle decisions
Evaluate profitability of new product introductions product discontinuation pricing changes product mix strategies Support target setting and profitability expectations for product groups Provide financial analysis supporting strategic product decisions Challenge product-related commercial assumptions and financial viability
- Pricing & Commercial Support Governance - Review and evaluate pricing structures, rebates, discounts, and commercial support programs
Ensure commercial support programs remain aligned with profitability objectives Recommend actions to improve pricing discipline and commercial returns
- Dealer Support & Commercial Spend Governance - Oversee financial review and controlling of dealer support requests and commercial support programs
Evaluate financial impact of dealer support activities on gross margin and profitability Ensure dealer support requests are aligned with approved budgets, commercial objectives, and profitability targets Review reasonableness, completeness, and financial justification of dealer support proposals
Monitor dealer support utilization, spending trends, and budget variancesIdentify margin leakage and profitability risks arising from commercial support activities Coordinate with Sales, Product Management, and FP&A on dealer support planning and tracking Recommend actions to optimize dealer support effectiveness and improve return on commercial spending Support strengthening of governance, approval controls, and reporting related to dealer support programs
C. Financial Planning & Business Performance Monitoring- Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities for assigned business areas

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business Management, or related field
Certified Public Accountant preferred
Experience:
6–10 years relevant experience in: Commercial finance Business partnering FP&AFinancial analysis Product finance or sales finance support
Experience in: FMCG/distribution/retail environment
Gross margin and profitability managementCross-functional stakeholder management
Working capital management is highly preferred
