Role Overview:

The IT Specialist for Business Applications and Productivity Tools is responsible for the day-to-day administration, optimization, and support of Atticus’ core business applications and cloud-based productivity platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Sophos, HubSpot, Zoom, DocuSign).

The role focuses on ensuring systems are properly configured, secure, and aligned with business processes. The Specialist will handle application management, access control, integrations, reporting, and user enablement.

In addition, the role will provide ad hoc IT support assistance (e.g., troubleshooting, device support, and ticket handling) as needed to support business continuity, but this is not the primary responsibility of the role.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Application Management & Administration
  • Configure, manage, and optimize core SaaS platforms based on business needs
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot application-related issues
  • Perform system updates and ensure alignment with evolving workflows
  1. Access, Identity & License Management
  • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions across systems
  • Support onboarding/offboarding and ensure timely access provisioning
  • Track and optimize license usage, including inactive accounts and invoices
  1. Application Inventory & Lifecycle Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory of tools, licenses, and system ownership
  • Support evaluation, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning of applications
  1. Training & User Enablement
  • Provide application-level support and guidance to users
  • Develop training materials, SOPs, and FAQs to improve adoption
  • Promote best practices in using productivity tools
  1. Governance, Compliance & Best Practices
  • Ensure systems comply with IT policies (security, data retention, access control)
  • Enforce governance standards across business applications
  1. Reporting & Optimization
  • Monitor usage, adoption, and performance of applications
  • Provide insights and recommendations for process and cost optimization
  1. Secondary: IT Support (Overflow & Escalation Support)
  • Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues when needed
  • Assist in resolving service desk tickets during high volume or escalations
  • Support device setup, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
  • Assist in documentation and knowledge base updates
  • Support IT projects and rollouts as required

This responsibility is performed only when required and should not impact the delivery of core Business Applications responsibilities.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years in SaaS administration or business applications support
  • Experience with tools like Google Workspace, FreshService, etc.
  • Exposure to IT support / helpdesk environments is a plus
  • Strong SaaS administration and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with APIs, SSO, and identity platforms
  • Basic knowledge of endpoint troubleshooting (Sophos endpoint, Windows/macOS, networking basics)
