It specialist (taguig)

The IT Specialist assists the department in the monitoring of the banking system as well as in servicing the needs of the departments either on software or hardware with quality customer service in cost-effective manner. And shall be the point of contact by the users, where to report systems and technology related problems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively respond to users queries, resolve disputes, process request, de-escalate issues and coordinate with various functional Administrators.
• Responsible to document, manage, and track all requests for service, problem reports, and inquiries regardless of the means by which the request is submitted (i.e. telephone, email, direct online input by end-users).
• Categorize, prioritize, and log all IT inquiries/problems/requests entered into the management and tracking system (i-Ticket).
• Comply with all escalation and notification requirements.
• Issue notifications to provide status updates of the problem as required.
• Adhere to all IT Department security policies and procedures when resolving customer issues.
• Provides technical support to all branches and support departments.
• Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately Technology Operations Unit Administrators
• Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help requests
• Assists the IT Officer in the weekly clearing of Host server space, backup to media of CASA files, and for the monthly checking of service orders on their status.
• Submits regularly required reports to Management.
• Manage and support test-to-production migration of desktop or remote server activities.
• Install new or enhanced hardware components or peripherals to meet the bank’s computing and/or processing requirements.
• Provide technical assistance during remote and local office transfers.
• Ensure all support activities adhere to defined security requirements of IT Department

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or Information Technology
• At least 1 year of relevant experience
