The role provides leadership to engineering teams and oversees the successful implementation of scalable, high-quality integration solutions across complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Defines and maintains the enterprise integration architecture roadmap aligned with organizational growth and digital transformation goals.
  • Evaluates, selects, and implements appropriate integration platforms such as ESB, iPaaS, and API management solutions.
  • Establishes and enforces standards for data exchange, including naming conventions, reusable integration patterns, and security protocols.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant data security and privacy frameworks such as HIPAA and SOC 2.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and department heads to align integration strategies with clinical, operational, and business objectives.
  • Leads vendor selection processes, including RFP development, evaluation, and recommendation of integration tools and platforms.
  • Conducts cost-benefit analysis (CBA) to support build-versus-buy decisions for integration solutions.
  • Develops high-level architectural designs (HLD), including conceptual and logical diagrams for complex system integrations and cloud/hybrid environments.
  • Provides technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, including conducting code reviews and design validations.
  • Monitors and ensures adherence to architectural standards, reporting progress, risks, and performance to the Enterprise Architect Lead for Integration and Application.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Immediate Superior.
Accountabilities
  • Design Integrity & Scalability: Ensuring the integration architecture is robust, follows industry best practices, and can handle projected data volumes without performance degradation.
  • Project Documentation: Responsibility for the complete and accurate delivery of all technical blueprints, API specifications, mapping documents, and "as-built" architectural diagrams.
  • On-Time Technical Delivery: Meeting all architectural milestones and design deadlines as defined in the project roadmap.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensuring all developed integrations comply with healthcare data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA) and the organization’s internal security protocols.
  • Issue Resolution (Design Level): Accountable for identifying and resolving high-level technical bottlenecks or integration conflicts that arise during the development phase.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Ensuring the technical solution directly meets the business/clinical requirements provided at the start of the project.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Successful handover of the project architecture and documentation to the permanent operations or support team upon project completion.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of BS IT/Computer Engineering/Computer Science
  • 3-5 years of total experience in software development or integration
  • Preferably a MuleSoft Certified Developer.
  • Solution Design: Ability to create technical "recipes" (mapping documents and logic flows) for developers to build.
  • Technical Documentation: Highly skilled in creating Sequence Diagrams and Data Flow Diagrams that clearly show how data moves from System A to System B.
  • API Standards: Strong understanding of what makes a "good" API (naming conventions, error codes, and RESTful principles).
  • Problem Solving: Ability to look at a complex data error and identify if the issue is in the mapping logic or the system architecture.
  • Bridge Builder: Act as the "middle man" between the business requirements and the technical team to ensure the final build matches the request.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous in documenting interface specifications to ensure zero data loss during high-volume transfers.
  • Professional Attributes: Self-motivated, patient, and capable of explaining technical steps to non-technical staff (like Doctors or Managers).
