ARCHITECTURAL SITE ENGINEER

Job Description:

The role serves as the primary point of coordination between the design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management to ensure the successful execution of architectural works.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily architectural construction activities on-site.
• Ensure all architectural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable building codes.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with company quality standards.
• Inspect completed works and identify defects requiring correction.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare inspection reports.

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Resolve site-related architectural issues promptly.
• Review architectural shop drawings, material submittals, and construction details.
• Attend project coordination and progress meetings.

• Monitor construction quality throughout the project.
• Verify that materials delivered meet project specifications.
• Ensure proper installation methods are followed.
• Prepare punch lists and monitor completion of corrective works.
• Recommend improvements to construction methods when necessary.

• Track project progress against approved schedules.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accomplishment reports.
• Identify project delays and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor manpower productivity related to architectural works.

• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
• Prepare daily site reports and progress updates.
• Document site inspections, testing results, and completed works.
• Assist in preparing project turnover documents.

• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and site regulations.
• Promote safe working practices among contractors and workers.
• Report unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations and project requirements.

• Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
• Coordinate material requirements with procurement.
• Verify quantities for billing and project accomplishment.
• Assist in evaluating variation orders and additional works.

• Provide technical support to the project team.
• Assist during project turnover and final inspections.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Licensed Architect or Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage.
• 3-5 years of experience in architectural site supervision or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, specifications, and construction methods.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
• Familiarity with quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
• Knowledge of local building codes, construction standards, and occupational safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Willing to be assigned to various project sites and travel as required.
