ROLE SNAPSHOT:

• Day shift & Full time
• (Onsite) Bldg. 2, 2nd Floor, Nelly Garden, Jaro, Iloilo City
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in BIM/Revit documentation & modeling for of fire protection systems.
• Proficient in Autodesk suite (Revit), BIM workflows, and Microsoft Office packages.
• Familiarity with fire protection systems such as fire sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, smoke detector, and EWIS system design.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a BIM Specialist (Fire Protection Designer) you help bring our Australian-based partner’s values into every project by creating and compiling precise, compliant fire services designs and documentation

In this role, you will ensure all deliverables are accurate, complete, and aligned with project schedules, company policies, and procedures. Your work will include preparing the technical information and calculations that support in successfully completing projects, while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

What you’ll be working on:

• Safety- Actively promote and follow all OHS policies, maintain a safe workplace, and report accidents or hazards.
• Environment – Comply with environmental policies, support waste reduction, and improve energy and water efficiency.
• Quality Assurance – Adhere to quality management systems, provide feedback, and participate in audits as needed.
• Designing- Understand company procedures and project design intent. Prepare accurate submissions and produce shop/design drawings as directed, following the National Construction Code of Australia, relevant Australian standards, and fire engineering specifications.
• Full Design Process – Participate in the complete design lifecycle, including project read-ins, preparing initial drawings, RFIs, bills of materials, and design registers. Produce drawings for submission and fabrication, provide daily progress updates, conduct final design reviews, and complete all deliverables, including as-built documentation. Ensure deadlines are met and contribute to proposal strategies with project leads.
• Design Documentation Control – Manage project correspondence, databases, and processes to meet deadlines. Review RFIs and ensure design updates align with client requirements. Verify shop drawings reflect design intent and support positive client relationships.
• Ongoing Project Maintenance – Assist with project plans, specifications, and drawings throughout construction. Support efficiency, value engineering, and collaboration with the Project Delivery team.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Fire Services industry, including design and documentation of fire protection systems. Experience within commercial, industrial, mining, resources, or construction projects is preferred but not essential.
• Background in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) relevant to fire services design.
• Demonstrated experience in applying Guidelines, statutory, Regulatory and Australian Standards (i.e. AS 2419, AS 2118, AS1670 & NCC) in live project environments is strongly preferred.
• Excellent knowledge and experience with Autodesk Revit to produce BIM models up to LOD 500.
• Familiarity with Aconex, Procore, or other database/document management software.
• Proficient in Autodesk suite and Microsoft Office packages.
• Knowledge of fire sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, smoke detector, and EWIS system design.
• Strong English communication skills at all levels.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with leadership experience or aspirations.
• High levels of computer literacy, particularly with Autodesk products and Hydraulic Calculation Software.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure Australian environment
